Photo from iPhone not accepted on EDDMapS Web reporting form
🤔 Problem
Photo of species was taken on iPhone and you can’t attach it to the report when using the online reporting form.
🌱 Solution
Currently, HEIC/HEIF photos cannot be added to the web reporting form, only jpg and jpeg images are allowed
You can convert the image on your phone by exporting it as a jpg.
You can convert the image using various free websites.
To avoid having to convert the HEIC/HEIF photos, we recommend using the EDDMapS app or EDDMapS Pro app, which contains a converter and allows you to save reports while you are out recreating.
